We’ve learned that the number of H-1B visa slots for new, private, H-1B Petitions available for the current fiscal year is dwindling rapidly-predictions are that the numbers may be exhausted as soon as early December.

Numbers are expected to remain available for citizens of Chile and Singapore who have a special allotment set aside based on certain treaty agreements.

Any private ("non-exempt") employers contemplating the filing of a new H-1B visa Petition for employment to begin prior to October 1, 2010 ought to move the process along without delay to avoid disappointment.
